Anti-Graffiti Coatings

Did you know … There are two types of Anti-graffiti Coatings. Sacrificial and Non-Sacrificial.
Sacrificial: This coating WAC2040006 is a paraffin/water-based acrylic that can be brushed, rolled or sprayed onto new or previously coated surfaces. It is designed to wash off of surfaces with 150°F water taking with it all of the “Aerosol Art”. You simply apply another coat and move on. This is an excellent product for sound barriers, building exteriors, bridges, tanks or any other item with ground level access.
Non-sacrificial: Our Company makes two variations of this type system. We make a single component water-based polyurethane WAC2040009 and a solvent-based catalyzed two component polyurethane that uses TP402HS Base mixed with C1000HS Catalyst.
The single component water-based system is an extremely fast dry and more user friendly in that clean up is with water while the material is still wet and you do not have to mix in a catalyst. Even though the water-based system has excellent performance, you will get a longer from a solvent based, catalyzed system. Either way, these two systems are designed to last through several graffiti removals and do not heated water to assist in removal. An everyday 1500+ maintenance power washer will do the job. Any new or previously painted surface is a candidate for these systems but a test patch over old coatings is recommended to check for compatibility. These systems are an excellent choice for hard to reach or elevated areas.
